Put simply, Droppitt accesses your TecDoc data and puts it into a catalogue on your WordPress website – in real time. The Droppitt plugin connects directly to your TecDoc data, so as soon as your data is live on TecDoc, it’s live on your website. There’s no need to update your data in multiple places, saving you time and money.
The Droppitt plugin allows you to have a fully searchable catalogue of parts. Visitors can search for their vehicle to see what parts are available for it, or they can search by product part number.
To make it even easier for your website visitors, we can also add on TecDoc’s vehicle rego look-up, allowing customers to find their exact vehicle based on their rego number.
Creating an online store for your brand or business should not be underestimated. There’s a lot of logistical tasks that will need to be considered, some of which are:
We have a version of Droppitt that becomes not just a TecDoc data driven website catalogue, but a fully functional online store which uses WordPress’s most popular e-commerce platform, WooCommerce. And once you’ve decided on the logisitics, we can make sure the right software is installed and set it up to make it all work for you. We are more than happy to discuss your online store options in more detail.
TecDoc provides the standard for vehicle description data and it’s where automotive aftermarket parts manufacturers catalogue their parts data. It is the industry standard parts database in Europe and Australia. It provides a single, centralised location for automotive parts brands to store their data and make it accessible to their customers in the trade.
WordPress is the most popular content management system (CMS) worldwide. WordPress currently has a more than 60% share of the CMS market and it’s estimated that well over 40% of all websites are using WordPress as their CMS. That means more than 500 million websites are built on WordPress!
For creating online stores that integrate with Droppit, we use the WooCommerce WordPress Plugin. Over 90% of all WordPress e-commerce sites use WooCommerce and WooCommerce powers approximately 25% of all online stores globally. Over 6 million online stores worldwide are actively using WooCommerce.
We take data protection very seriously. Your product data is only downloaded from TecDoc’s own API to your website as visitors are searching and it’s not stored anywhere on the website itself.
Your TecDoc API credentials are never exposed to your website’s visitors in the source code of the Droppitt plugin. Only WordPress Administrators will have access to the credentials.
The Droppitt plugin has your TecDoc parts catalogue covered, but we understand that you may need a website with more content to complement it. That’s why we’ve partnered with creatives who can help design and populate the rest of your website.
If you already have developers who use WordPress, we’re more than happy to work with them.
Update your data on TecDoc via Uppiti using the familiar environs of a Microsoft Excel workbook. Updates are carried out overnight – or quicker if required.
Cleanseit is the simple way to clean your data on TecDoc. Fix issues and improve your data quality so you can get a higher TecDoc ranking.
Snappit allows you to compare your vehicle part data with any competitor data you have. There’s an easy-to-read dashboard and we can set up bespoke reporting for you.
We’re based in Adelaide, South Australia.
