The Droppitt plugin allows you to have a fully searchable catalogue of parts on your website. Visitors can search for their vehicle to see what parts are available for it, or they can search by product part number.

The Droppitt plugin connects directly to your TecDoc data, so as soon as your data is live on TecDoc, it’s live on your website.

The standard installation of the Droppitt plugin will give you everything you need to get a fully searchable catalogue of your brand’s parts working on your website. However, we understand that one set of options is not going to fit every client’s needs.

We have created Droppitt to be customisable so that it can be tailored to your brand’s requirements, and extra features can be added or removed as you require.

Rego look-ups*

Sometimes searching for your vehicle might give you a long list of possible matches.

Our rego look-up feature works with TecAlliance’s optional API rego look-up feature, making it easy for your visitors to find their exact vehicle by entering their vehicle’s rego number. They can then see all the products that your brand makes for their vehicle with a single click.

We love this feature as it makes finding parts a faster and more enjoyable experience.

*Rego look-up feature is currently AU passenger vehicles only.

Jargon translation table

TecAlliance’s TecDoc is a data standard across all automotive parts brands, all around the world. The terminology used by TecDoc in their criteria is fine for the trade, but sometimes it isn’t all that user-friendly for normal people!

That’s why we’ve created a jargon translation table that will allow you to translate TecDoc’s criteria wording into your preferred terminology. We’ll work with you to create a set of translations for the TecDoc linkage criteria data that you want to make more customer friendly.

Example TecDoc speak: “for vehicles without bi-turbo” Customer friendly translation: “Suits single turbo”

Custom grouping

Group your products in a customer friendly order creating a better user experience. Droppitt pulls your data directly from TecDoc and sometimes it’s not in the order that you would like.

We are currently developing a solution that will allow you to group products in the order you would prefer.

As soon as we have this tested and approved we will let you know.

One website that covers multiple brands

If you have multiple brands on TecDoc, Droppitt can deliver multiple brands to your website.

Visitors still search in the same way, but will see all the parts from all your brands that suit their vehicle. This option is perfect for companies who have multiple brands in their TecDoc catalogue.

Keeping your data secure

We take data protection very seriously. Your product data is only downloaded from TecDoc’s own API to your website as visitors are searching and it’s not stored anywhere on the website itself.

Your TecDoc API credentials are never exposed to your website’s visitors in the source code of the Droppitt plugin. Only WordPress Administrators will have access to the credentials.

The Droppitt plugin has your TecDoc parts catalogue covered, but we understand that you may need a website with more content to complement it. That’s why we’ve partnered with creatives who can help design and populate the rest of your website.
